Hi there,

I’m happy you found me. Let me tell you briefly about myself.

Growing up in the small town of Turku in SW of Finland, I did spend a lot of time in the beautiful Turku Archipelago. If it wasn’t with my grandparents at their cottage I would be out sailing with friends.

This was the foundation for my love of nature.

After Fine Art studies at VNF in Karis and Design studies at LAB Institute of Design and Fine Arts (Lahti, Finland) I took some turns to Australia. Altogether I spent three years in Gold Coast driven by my love for surf and the ocean. However, my roots were deep in the Archipelago soil and this brought me back.

Now I live here on the Korpo island with my family. In addition to working with the camera I am a seasonal Park Ranger in the Archipelago National Park. I could not imagine a better lifestyle.

I have always been a searcher with great interest in meditation, music and people. I think these interests that come naturally to me, help me creating images with story and depth.

"After a photoshoot I quite often get the sense of mutual gratitude, like we shared a good moment, wheter it was fun or of more melancholic character. I believe this actually reflects in the photos and make them come alive."

My
Inspiration

"Inspired by classic art painters like Vermeer and Repin and photographers like Platon, Herb Ritts and Peter Lindbergh, I strive to make timeless portraits that will last for generations if just taken care of.

I am also very fascinated by composer Arvo Pärt, who composes music where silence has equal importance to the sound. I’d love to implement this philosophy to my images."

When Peter took my portrait, I was in the middle of cancer treatments, and I was experiencing the hardest time of my life. Despite this Peter made me feel both strong and beautiful in these portraits, he managed to capture both my strength and my vulnerability at that moment. I felt safe throughout the photo session and Peter gave clear instructions. I am very satisfied and grateful for the result.

It was interesting to experience the process, to be guided by Peter and to eventually feel that I am totally allowed to be myself. I felt very comfortable and natural. Most interesting, though, was to see the result: I love the lights Peter can create and I could see and like myself in the final photos.

"I usually get shy in front of the camera. Peter made me feel liberated, and I could eventually be myself though I was nervous at first. I think the images really look like me, in a creative and highly qualitative way.

Peter radiates, not only professionality, but warmth. After the shoot I felt like we’ve always known each other."

"It was lots of fun to be photographed by Peter and to see how important all details like light and background are. I’m very happy with the result and I can warmly recommend Peter as a photographer. His work is stylish and highly professional."
